Reading the evidence without outrunning it
Power system
Capacity and demand are now visible together.
The regulatory snapshot reports 4,609.66 MW of installed capacity under its stated scope and gross maximum demand of 2,508.19 MW. The gap is not a reserve-margin calculation without availability and network constraints.
Domestic gas
Power remains the principal reported use.
FY2024/25 end-use shares show 74.43% for power generation and 24.65% for industry, grounding the gas story in current domestic use.
LNG
