What is the latest verified maize price in Tanzania?

The reported national average: TZS 600/kg, 28 Sep 2026 to 2 Oct 2026. Change versus the prior week: 0%.

Which region has the cheapest maize?

Ruvuma: TZS 300/kg, 28 Sep 2026 to 2 Oct 2026. Among reporting regions; this is not an individual-market quote.

Are these retail or wholesale prices?

These are Ministry of Agriculture reported wholesale averages. Constituent markets, weights and grades are not disclosed. Shop prices can differ.

How often are crop prices updated?

After an official bulletin is verified. Source checks are scheduled Monday to Friday at 08:15 EAT. KCP expects a weekly bulletin on Friday and allows three extra days before marking it overdue. The Ministry has not promised a publication schedule.

Why do the historical prices look different?

MIT records are market midpoint medians. MOA records are reported weekly averages. Their measures and dates differ even when both are displayed per kilogram. They are not joined.
