Tanzania fuel prices today: petrol, diesel and kerosene

From 7 Oct 2026, Dar es Salaam’s maximum per litre is TZS 4,057 for petrol, TZS 4,086 for diesel and TZS 4,067 for kerosene. All three caps rose from last month. The petrol gap between Dar es Salaam and Kyerwa (Ruberwa) is TZS 313/L.

Among the main pricing areas shown in the tiles, Kagera has the highest cap: TZS 4,348 per litre, TZS 291 above Dar. These are main-area caps, not each region's maximum.

Across all 190 pricing areas, a 45-litre fill costs up to TZS 14,085 more in Kyerwa (Ruberwa) than in Dar es Salaam. These are caps, not observed pump prices.

Even within Arusha, the TZS 92 per litre gap between Arumeru (Usa River) and Ngorongoro (Loliondo) adds up to TZS 4,140 for 45 litres.

Dar es Salaam’s petrol cap is TZS 4,057 per litre in the Oct 2026 schedule. Caps vary by pricing area; the table lists every Mainland area. Zanzibar has a separate ZURA schedule.
